People’s Community Health Centers and the Odenton Health Association announce the re-opening of the Odenton Health Center in Odenton, Maryland.
On Wednesday, September 1st at 10 am, People’s and OHA will celebrate the reopening of the health center at 1370 Odenton Road.
Since 1970, People’s Community Health Centers have provided solid, dependable health care to people and families, regardless of income or ability to pay. Founded in a Baltimore rowhouse by activists dedicated to equality, People’s has grown to 10 locations across Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County. People’s is a Joint Commission-accredited Federally Qualified Health Center.
In addition to Odenton, People’s operates Anne Arundel centers in Brooklyn Park and Pioneer City.
Having served generations of Anne Arundel citizens at the Odenton Health Center, the county health department most recently provided immunizations and HIV/AIDS counseling and testing at the site. Among the services People’s will now offer the community are primary care, women’s health services, family medicine and lab and behavioral health services.
“We’re excited to move into the historic Odenton Health Center building,” said People’s CEO Patricia Cassatt. “There’s such a wonderful legacy of care in this building. This is a great opportunity to provide care to even more West County residents.”
